OOHHH Charleston, South Carolina I am in love with you. The saying is I left my heart in San Fransisco but not this girl. My best friend moved to Summerville, SC in October and we just missed them so dearly. As she was planning her move out of Jersey, she would send me videos of this magical place and I just couldn’t believe it could exist. Well, it does. So I ventured down to Charleston with Julia in mid July and swooooooooon. From rainbow row to Quarters on King to Folly Beach Charleston has it all. I left a piece of my heart there when I left. Even Julia said “Tell daddy to bring all our stuff here.” She cried her eyes out on the day we left. There were moments when I wanted to join in.
I am now following many, many, MANY of the Charleston instagrammers to relive this beautiful piece of the US, daily. I just had no idea I needed that low country southerness so desperately in my life. SO anywho…of course while I was there I did some shooting. On a VERY hot Charleston afternoon we headed to St. George Bell Tower in Dorchester to soak in the gorgeous sun, learn some history, and maybe even see some alligators. Not really, but they are there! I did several other shoots while I was there that I will be blogging for sure! One at Sugar Bakeshop and another at Republics Ice Cream Shop so stay tuned for that! Here is my best friend who I miss so dearly. We shacked up with her and as a thank you I repaid her the only way I know how. Dana, I am so happy for you and your new life setting. See you again soon momma <3
I have decided to head down again in the spring to do some more family sessions, cause, well, WHY NOT? So if you will be in the area or live in Charleston head to my contact page to reach out and get on my calendar while I am there! Hoping to head down once or twice a year for family sessions that would be awesome sauce 🙂
