When Karter’s family booked me to do their First Year Journey, I was ecstatic! Karter is an adorable newborn who was just perfect to shoot. Karter’s dad is a Hammonton cop, and he wore his uniform to the shoot, which I loved.
Karter was super sleepy during, which is always good for me! We used a pretty blue quilt from a store in Medford, and a blanket from Target that I brought to the session on a whim. It turned out really well, and both blankets were a great addition to the shoot.
For this shoot, and all of my others, I prep them with Newborn Prep.
Another huge addition was the soccer ball that we used in the shoot. Karter looked content as anything propped on it! It is always interesting for a family to go back to their old baby pictures and seeing if things stayed the same or turned out completely different. Maybe one day Karter will be a professional soccer player! This is why I love First Year Journey, because of the contrast and the precious feeling of looking back on you or your baby’s first years.
This shoot was so cute and so much fun. I look forward to photographing Karter more in the coming year!
